13.6. Dismantling of the cardan hinge

The cardan hinge is disassembled for replacement of a crosspiece assembled with bearings.

We remove cardan transfer (see. "Removal of cardan transfer").

Operations on dismantling of forward and back cardan hinges are similar - we show on the example of the forward cardan hinge.

We mark with a center punch hinge forks so that at assembly to arrange them in the same situation.

The hammer we tap cases of bearings of a crosspiece in order that lock rings found mobility in pro-points of cases.

By the screw-driver it is shifted a lock ring...

... also we take out it from a bearing case pro-point.

Arrangement on the pro-point bearing case under a lock ring (for descriptive reasons the bearing is removed).

Similarly we remove three other lock rings.

For a bearing vypressovka...

... opiray an eye of a fork of the forward driveshaft about a cylindrical mandrel (at a vypressovka the bearing has to pass freely in a mandrel).

Through a drift from soft metal we strike blows to a fork of the back driveshaft...

... pressing off the bearing from an eye of a fork of the forward driveshaft.

We overturn the hinge on 180 ° and opiray other eye of a fork of the forward driveshaft about a mandrel.

Striking with the hammer blows on a small beard, inserted into a crosspiece thorn opening...

... we press off other bearing from an eye of a fork of the forward driveshaft.

We bring crosspiece thorns out of fork eyes.

Opirayem an eye of a fork of the back driveshaft about a mandrel.

Striking with the hammer blows through a drift to a bearing case bottom...

... we press off the opposite bearing from a fork eye.

We bring a crosspiece (with one bearing which remained on a thorn) out of fork eyes.

Before installation of a new crosspiece assembled with bearings and sal-

we are convinced by nicknames available lubricants of bearings - in each bearing 0,8-1,2 g of lubricant of Fiol-2U are put. We remove bearings from two opposite located crosspiece thorns.

In a vice with overlays of sponges from soft metal we press the bearing in an eye of a fork of the back driveshaft aflush with its internal end face.

We insert one thorn of a crosspiece into an opposite eye (in that where the bearing is absent)...

... and other thorn - in the bearing.

We insert other bearing into an eye...

... and in a vice with overlays of sponges from soft metal we press bearings in eyes of forks...

... to an exit the protocheck under lock rings on cases of bearings from under internal end faces of eyes. In the course of a press fitting rocking we control ease of rotation of a crosspiece in bearings.

We establish lock rings in pro-points of cases of bearings.

We remove two other bearings from crosspiece thorns. We press the bearing in an eye of a fork of the forward driveshaft.

Focusing forks of driveshafts on tags (see a photo 1)...

... we insert one thorn of a crosspiece into an eye of a fork of the forward driveshaft...

... and another - in the bearing. In a vice with overlays of sponges from soft metal we press bearings in eyes of forks and we insert lock rings into pro-points of cases of bearings, as shown in a photo 18-19.

After assembly of the cardan hinge we strike blows with the hammer with plastic brisk to forks to choose gaps between internal end faces of forks and end faces of lock rings.

We check ease of the movement of forks of driveshafts.
