15.6. Removal of the directing spring rack

We remove and sort the directing spring rack when replacement of the top support, the buffer of the course of compression, a spring, damping rack or installation in it a damping cartridge is necessary.

There are two options of dismantle of a rack. For replacement of the top support, the buffer of the course of compression, a spring or installation of a new damping cartridge the rack can be removed assembled with a rotary fist. At the same time the subsequent adjustment of angles of installation of wheels will manage to be avoided, however it will be required to disconnect a spherical support, a tip of steering draft and a brake support from a rotary fist. Much more simply and quicker to disconnect a rack from a rotary fist, but the subsequent adjustment of angles of installation of wheels at the same time is obligatory.

We perform work on a viewing ditch or the elevator, but it is possible also on the flat platform.

We hang out a forward part of the car. For both ways...

... by nippers it is squeezed a lock ring of a rubber cap...

... also we take out a cap together with a lock ring.

Head "on 19" we weaken a nut of a rod of a damping rack,

At removal of the directing spring rack by the first way the brake support from a guide of blocks is removed from a rotary fist, without disconnecting from it a brake hose, and we tie up a support for an arm of a brake hose (see. "Dismantling of the forward brake mechanism").

We disconnect an external tip of steering draft from a rotary fist (see. "Removal of an external tip of steering draft").

We disconnect a spherical support from a rotary fist (see. "Removal of a spherical support").

The rod of a damping rack is displaced concerning the center of an opening in a body mudguard. Therefore before removal of a rack it is necessary to mark (or to remember) an arrangement of the top support.

Holding the directing spring rack together with a rotary fist, a nave and a brake disk...

... a key "on 17" we turn off two nuts of fastening of the top support of a rack to a body.

We remove the directing spring rack.

At removal of a rack we mark with the second way an arrangement of an eccentric washer of the top (adjusting) bolt of fastening of a rack to a rotary fist. It will not allow to keep adjustment of a corner of disorder of a wheel at assembly, but the deviation will be small.

Cap key "on 19" we turn off a bolt of the top fastening of an arm of a damping rack to a rotary fist, holding a bolt from a provorachivaniye a cap key of the same dimension.

We remove the plug...

... and eccentric washer.

The hammer through a drift from soft metal we beat out a bolt...

... also we take out it.

Cap key "on 19" we turn off a nut of a bolt of the lower fastening of an arm of a damping rack to a rotary fist, holding a bolt from a provorachivaniye a cap key "on 17". We take out a bolt.

We bring a rotary fist out of a rack arm, trying not to pull a brake hose.

Holding a rack, we turn off nuts of fastening of its top support to a body (as shown in a photo 4)...

... also we remove a rack.

For further dismantling it is more convenient to fix a rack in a vice.

We establish on a spring two couplers oppositely each other.

Evenly rotating screws, we squeeze a spring.

After the spring ceases to press on basic cups...

... finally we turn off and we remove a nut of a rod of a damping rack.

We remove the top support...

... also we separate from it a plastic sealant.

We take out the persistent bearing from a nest of a basic cup.

We remove a basic cup together with a protective rubber cover.

Having squeezed the ends of a spring ring, we remove a cover from a ring ledge of a basic cup.

We remove a spring...

... and compression course buffer.

When replacing a spring, the buffer of the course of compression, the top support or damping rack we collect the directing spring rack and we install on the car in the return sequence. At the same time we install the bearing of the top support by a casing down.

At installation in a damping rack of a cartridge we turn off a tank nut...

... pipe key...

... or having clamped it in a vice and rotating the rack case the neck inserted into fixing openings of an arm.

We remove a nut.

We take out a rod with the working cylinder.

We merge damping liquid.

We insert a cartridge into a damping rack and we tighten a tank nut. We collect and install the directing spring rack on the car in the return sequence. If necessary we check and we regulate the angles of installation of forward wheels.
