17.9. Dismantling of the steering mechanism

We remove the steering mechanism (see. "Removal of the steering mechanism").

We clamp a case of the steering mechanism in a vice with overlays of sponges from soft metal. We remove both protective covers of a lath (see. "Replacement of a cover of a lath")

Chisel we unbend edges of a lock washer of the left steering draft.

Key "on 30" we turn off the left draft, holding a lath for lysk a key "on 22".

We remove the left steering draft and a lock washer.

Similarly we remove the right steering draft (a lath from a provorachivaniye we hold a key "on 22" for lysk on its left end).

Head "on 41" we turn off an emphasis nut lock-nut...

... also we remove a lock-nut.

Tetrahedron "on 9" we turn off a lath emphasis nut...

... also we remove it.

We take out an emphasis spring...

... and lath emphasis.

The Shlitsevy screw-driver hooked a rubber protective cap...

... also we remove it.

Cap key "on 24" we turn off a bearing nut...

... also we remove it from a gear wheel shaft.

We take out from a case a gear wheel assembled with the ball bearing.

We unclench nippers a lock ring and we remove it.

Considering that the bearing is removed only for replacement...

... the gear wheel can be beaten out from the bearing, having installed it on sponges of a vice, but not clamping a gear wheel.

We remove the bearing from a gear wheel shaft.

We take out a lath from a case of the steering mechanism.

Having squeezed nippers a lock ring of the plastic plug of a lath, we take out it from a flute of a case of the steering mechanism.

Core 450-500 mm long we beat out the lath plug from a case...

... also we take out it together with a rubber ring.

The needle bearing of a gear wheel is taken out only for replacement. To take it...

... a drill with a diameter of 2,5-3 mm we drill three openings in a case of the steering mechanism opposite to a bearing installation site...

... and through these openings we beat out the bearing, striking blows to a thin core.

We take out the needle bearing.

Openings in a wall of a case of the steering mechanism can be muffled " medicine cold welding".

We wash out and examine the details of the steering mechanism damaged - we replace, at the same time the plasmassovy plug with a rubber ring is replaced surely. Ball and needle bearings have to rotate without jamming, and protective covers and a cap - not to have cracks and gaps. The side play and traces of corrosion in spherical hinges of steering drafts are not allowed.

At assembly...

... a drift from soft metal we press the new needle bearing.

The plug with a rubber ring is pressed through a suitable piece of a pipe.

Opirayem a gear wheel on overlays of sponges of a vice from soft metal or wooden whetstone.

With suitable piece of a pipe napressovyvay on a gear wheel shaft the ball bearing, striking blows only to its internal ring. Having plentifully greased teeths of a lath, a gear wheel and bearings with FIOL-1 lubricant, we collect knot in the return sequence. Before installation of a protective cap on a gear wheel shaft...

... zakernivay a gear wheel bearing nut in four points...

... also we fill a cavity over a nut UNIOL-1 lubricant. Before installation on the car we adjust the steering mechanism (see. "Adjustment of the steering mechanism").
