18:15. Adjustment and removal of knots of the parking brake system

The parking brake has to hold the car on a bias to 23% inclusive when moving the lever of the drive up on 4-5 teeths of the ratchet device. If it not so, then adjustment of the parking brake system is necessary.

We install the car on a viewing ditch or the elevator., we hang out a back axis and we transfer the lever of the drive of the parking brake to extreme lower situation. We remove a floor casing (see. "Removal of a casing of a floor") and an air supply air duct in a back part of salon (see. "Removal of an air duct of air supply in a back part of salon"). For descriptive reasons the left front seat is removed.

Holding an adjusting nut with Rozhkov a key "on 13", the same key we weaken a lock-nut...

... also we rotate an adjusting nut, pulling a cable that the course of the lever decreased to 4-5 teeths of the sector of the ratchet device, and wheels at completely released lever rotated freely, without jamming. In this situation we tighten a lock-nut.

For replacement of a cable we disconnect its tips from razzhimny levers of back brake shoes (see. "Replacement of back brake shoes"), and covers — from the lower bars of a back suspension bracket (see. "Removal of the lower bar").

By the screw-driver it is unbent three uvulas of arms of fastening of a cover of the right branch of a cable to the car bottom.

Cap key "on 8" we turn off two nuts of fastening of a back tip of a cover of the right branch of a cable to the right brake board...

... also we bring the end of a cable out of an opening in a board.

Similarly we release the left branch of a cable (fastening arms to the bottom — two).

In salon two Rozhkov keys "on 13" raskontrivay also we turn off both nuts of an adjusting tip of the parking brake...

... also we remove the cable equalizer.

Rozhkov a key "on 17" we turn off two nuts of fastening of forward tips of covers of a cable to the body bottom.

We remove a cable loop together with nuts and washers through a cut in the body bottom...

... also we remove a cable.

We establish a cable in the return sequence.

The forward tip of a cover of the right branch of a cable (it is longer than left) has to be fixed in the top part of a cut of the bottom of a body, and a forward tip of a cover of the left (short) branch — in the lower part of a cut.

For removal of the lever of the drive of the parking brake system we transfer the lever to extreme lower situation. We turn off both nuts from an adjusting tip and we remove the cable equalizer, as shown in a photo 5.

We disconnect a wire from the switch of a control lamp of the parking brake.

Key "on 13" we turn off a nut of fastening of an arm of the switch and the gear sector of the lever of the parking brake...

... also we remove an arm together with the switch from a hairpin.

Having turned off the same key the second nut of fastening of the gear sector...

... we remove the sector together with the lever of the drive of the parking brake and an adjusting tip.

We establish the removed details in the return sequence and we regulate a tension of a cable of the parking brake as it is described above.
