4.13. Removal of the electric fan of the cooling system

The cooling system electric fan on cars with engines UEPA-331 and VAZ-2106 is dismantled almost similarly. Operations on dismantle are shown on the example of the car with the VAZ-2106 engine.

We disconnect a block of a plait of wires of power supply of the electric fan.

Key "on 10" we turn off two bolts of the right fastening of a casing of the electric fan to arms of tanks of a radiator (on the car with the engine UEPA-331 two bolts of fastening of a casing are located at the left).

The same key turned off one bolt of the left fastening of a casing of the electric fan (on the car with the engine UEPA-331 the bolt of fastening of a casing is located on the right).

Head "on 10" we turn off two nuts of the top fastening of a casing of the electric fan to a body front arm.

We remove a fastening plate.

This plate serves also as an element of the top fastening of a radiator.

We take away the top part of a casing from a radiator.

We take out a casing together with the electric fan from a motor compartment, trying not to damage radiator plates.

Key "on 10" we turn off three nuts of fastening of the electric motor of the fan to a casing.

We take out the fan electric motor with a krylchatka from a casing.

Head "on 13" we turn off a nut of fastening of a krylchatka to a fan electric motor shaft.

We remove a krylchatka.

Pay attention: at installation of a krylchatka an electric motor shaft pin...

... has to enter grooves of a nave of a krylchatka.

Metal plugs which at an inhaling of nuts of fastening of the electric motor to a casing are put on hairpins of the electric motor...

... limit deformation of the rubber plugs installed in casing openings.

We install the electric fan in the return sequence.
